Letterhead Maker
This free Letterhead Maker helps you create a letterhead with your name, logo, address and contact details at the top of the page. A letterhead (also written letter head) shows who a letter is from, so the reader knows the sender at a glance. You fill in a form, pick a layout, and create a PDF you can print or send. Think of it as a letterhead generator: the form builds the page and you only type your own details. The tool is free and needs no signup.
- Anonymous use needs a quick human check (Cloudflare Turnstile). Signed-in users skip it and use credits.
- The free web tool prints at most the first 10 pages.
- Results are deleted after 10 minutes in the free web tool. Keep your own copy of the PDF.
Use this only for real letterheads issued by you or by the business you act for. Creating documents in someone else's name, or to misrepresent a transaction or identity, is not allowed. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
No logo added. Pick your own PNG, JPG or WebP file; it is sent to our server with the letterhead when you create the PDF.

Do this from your code
The same request, built from the input and options above. Create an account to get an API key.
curl -X POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"html":"","output":"pdf","options":{}}'
# returns {"job_id": "...", "status": "queued"}; then poll:
curl https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs/JOB_ID -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY"Batches
The web tool handles 1 document at a time. The API takes one request per document, so you can script as many as your plan allows.
More control
Headers and footers, page ranges, scale, custom page size, wait conditions and request headers are API options. See the docs.
Retention
Web-tool results are kept 10 minutes; free API results 1 day; Starter and Pro results 7 days; Business and Scale 30 days. The web tool allows 10 conversions per minute and 50 per day per visitor.
In one sentence
A free online form that turns your name, optional logo and contact details into a letterhead PDF (A4 or Letter) in one of four layouts, with an optional letter text.
Key facts
- Fields: a layout (classic, centered, side bar or footer), paper size, a sans serif or serif font, name, tagline, address, phone, email, website, one accent color, an optional PNG, JPG or WebP logo and an optional letter text.
- Margins are 18 mm at the top, 20 mm left and right and 22 mm at the bottom, so everything stays inside what a normal office printer can print; the header is printed on the first page only and the side bar layout keeps its bar on every page.
- The output is a PDF, not a Word file; there are no ready-made templates, no stock logos and no saved letterheads, and nothing but your own text and logo is printed.
- The page text is for your own details only; the Acceptable Use Policy forbids letterheads in the name of an organization you do not act for. The free web tool prints the first 10 pages and keeps results for 10 minutes.
- Free without an account: up to 10 conversions per minute and 50 per day per visitor, no watermark. Signed in, each render costs 1 credit (100 free credits every month).
- Files are deleted automatically: 10 minutes after conversion without an account, 1 day with a free account.
- Developers can run the same render with POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render and an API key (see the PDF API page).

How it works
- Choose a layout and paper size, A4 or Letter.
- Enter your company or personal name, and add a tagline if you want one.
- Add your address, phone, email and website. Leave any field empty if you do not need it.
- Pick an accent color and a font, then upload your own logo if you have one.
- Optionally type your letter text, or leave it empty for a blank letterhead, then create the PDF.

How to make a letterhead online
A letterhead is easy to make with this tool. You fill in a form on the page, and the page turns it into a document that is sent to our server, where it is printed as a PDF. You do not need an account to start. You need a name or a logo, and every other field is optional.
Once the PDF is ready, download it and keep your own copy. The tool keeps no saved letterheads, so if you want to change the letterhead, change the form and create the PDF again.
Choose a layout
The Letterhead Maker offers four layouts. Classic puts your logo and name on the left, with the address and contact lines on the right and an accent line under the header. Centered places the logo above the name, with the tagline below it and the address and contact details together on one line.
Side bar adds an accent-colored bar along the left edge, and the bar runs on every page. Footer keeps a compact header and moves the address and contact details to three columns at the bottom of the letter.
- Classic: logo and name left, contact details right.
- Centered: logo, spaced name, one contact line.
- Side bar: colored bar on the left, on every page.
- Footer: compact header, contact details at the bottom.
Add your logo
You can add your own logo as a PNG, JPG or WebP file. The logo is shown at most 20 mm high and 52 mm wide in the PDF, and its proportions are kept. Results vary with the file you use, so check the PDF before you print a large batch.
A small file is used as it is, and a PNG keeps its transparency. A larger file is re-compressed as a JPG in your browser to fit the size limit of the free tool, and transparency then becomes white. SVG and other formats are not accepted. The tool does not offer stock logos, and it never adds a logo for you.
Colors and fonts
You can choose one accent color. It is used for the name and for the lines or bar in your layout. The tool does not support more than one accent color.
You can also choose a Sans serif or Serif font. Your text stays as you typed it. Colors on paper can look different from your screen, so test a printed copy if color matters to your brand.
Company letterhead: what to put in the header
A company letterhead usually shows the company name, a logo, a tagline if you have one, and the way to reach you. Add the address, phone, email and website that your readers really use. Leave out any field you do not need, because empty fields are not printed.
Use the same name and details that appear on your other business documents. This keeps your correspondence consistent and easy to check. Only enter details that belong to your business or to you.
- Company or person name
- Tagline (optional)
- Address on several lines
- Phone, email and website
Letterhead for business: write the Letter or leave it blank
You can type your letter text in the form, or leave the field empty to make a blank letterhead. The letter text is plain text. Line breaks are kept, but bold, italics, tables and pictures are not available inside the letter.
The letter prints in 11 pt with generous line spacing. If the letter is long, it flows onto more pages, and the header appears on the first page only. A blank letterhead is useful when you want to print it first and write the letter by hand or in another program.
Letterhead template PDF: what you get
The output is a letterhead template PDF that you can print, send or keep. The PDF contains only what you typed and the logo you picked. There is no watermark, no barcode, no QR code and no added company mark.
The tool does not include a library of ready-made templates, background images or full-page designs. Each PDF is made from the layout and the details you choose. For a fully custom design, see HTML to PDF.
Paper size, margins and printing
You can choose A4 or Letter paper. Margins are 18 mm at the top, 20 mm on the left and right, and 22 mm at the bottom. Everything stays inside these margins, so a normal office printer can print it.
Many printers cannot print to the edge of the paper, so check your printer settings before you print a full batch. There is no full-page background and no bleed. Test one page first, and then print the rest.
A PDF, not a Word file
The Letterhead Maker creates a PDF. It does not create a Word file or a .docx export. You cannot edit the PDF text in this tool afterwards. To change anything, change the form and create the PDF again.
Saved letterheads are not available in this tool, so keep your form details in a note if you want to recreate the same letterhead later.
Use your own details only
Use your own business or personal details and your own logo. Do not make a letterhead that looks like it comes from a government office, a bank, a school, a court or any other organization you do not act for. Do not copy another organization's logo.
These rules are part of the Acceptable Use Policy. Accounts that break them can be closed.
Make letterheads from code
If you build many letterheads in your own system, use the HTML to PDF API. Your code builds the HTML and sends one request per document to the render endpoint, with your API key in the Authorization header. Each request makes one PDF. Options such as format, margin and print_background are set in the request.
The request returns a job ID. Poll GET /v1/jobs/:id until the status is succeeded, failed or timeout. When the job succeeds, download the file from the download_url, which is a short-lived signed link. Failed and timed-out jobs are refunded. This page shows a ready cURL, Node and Python example below the tool, based on the details you enter. Batch requests, webhooks and saved templates are not available yet.
Privacy: what happens to your logo and text
Your form text is turned into HTML in your browser and sent to our server with the logo you picked. The server prints the document as a PDF. Results are deleted after 10 minutes in the free web tool. A record of each job is kept, and signed-in users can see their jobs in the dashboard.
Every text you type is escaped, and the document blocks scripts with a Content-Security-Policy. This keeps your text as plain content in the PDF. Your text is printed as typed and is not translated.
