AIIPWorld as a Browserless alternative

A short, factual comparison for people who use Browserless to print PDFs or take screenshots. Everything we say about Browserless comes from its own public pages, with the address and the date we checked next to each fact. We have not compared output quality or speed.

In one sentence

A short, sourced comparison of AIIPWorld and Browserless for people who use hosted browsers to print PDFs or take screenshots, with the source address and check date beside each Browserless fact.

Key facts

  • Browserless figures come only from its pricing page and documentation, checked 2026-10-11; nothing else about Browserless is claimed.
  • Browserless sells units of browser time (up to 30 seconds each); its pages do not say how many units one PDF call uses, so no price per PDF is given.
  • AIIPWorld makes PDFs and PNG or JPEG screenshots from HTML or a public address at 1 credit per simple render, with a free plan of 100 credits a month; it does not run Puppeteer or Playwright scripts.
  • This page does not rank output quality, speed or engines.

AIIPWorld: what we offer

From our own price list and configuration. See pricing for the current version.

  • Free plan: 100 credits per month, no card needed. A simple render costs 1 credit. The free web tools also work without an account.
  • Paid plans (monthly price / credits per month): $19 / 2,750, $59 / 10,000, $149 / 30,000. Yearly billing is 10 times the monthly price. A credit pack is $10 for 1,400 credits that do not expire.
  • A screenshot costs 1 credit; a full page screenshot costs 2 credits for an image up to 5,000 px tall, plus more for taller ones. PDFs over 10 pages and results over 5 MB cost extra credits. Credits for failed jobs are returned. These costs are provisional until launch.
  • API: PDF from HTML or a public web address, and PNG or JPEG screenshots, all with headless Chromium. Jobs are asynchronous (submit, then poll). Results are kept for a limited time and then deleted. Webhooks, templates and a batch endpoint are not available yet.

Reading the two lists side by side

  • The units are different things. Browserless sells blocks of browser time, and our credits count finished renders. Without Browserless's own figure for one /pdf call, a price per PDF cannot be worked out from its page.
  • Browserless gives you a browser session you can drive with your own scripts. We give you two jobs, PDF and screenshot, as plain HTTP requests, with no browser code on your side.
  • Both have a free allowance. Browserless lists 1k units a month; our free plan lists 100 credits a month.
  • We have not compared rendering quality or speed. Run a few of your own pages through both.

You can try ours without an account in the HTML to PDF tool or the website screenshot tool. The PDF API and screenshot API pages list every option.

Browserless is a name of its respective owner. AIIPWorld is not affiliated with it.

What to compare in a Browserless alternative

This part is for people who already use Browserless, or who are looking for a browserless alternative and want to compare on facts. Browserless describes itself on its documentation home as managed browser infrastructure. Its products include BrowserQL, hosted browsers (BaaS), REST APIs and an MCP server.

Start with what you use it for. If you call its REST /pdf or screenshot endpoints, our API does a similar job: you send HTML or a public web address and get a PDF or an image back. If you connect Puppeteer or Playwright scripts to a hosted browser, or use BrowserQL, we are not a replacement. We only run two kinds of job, PDF and screenshot, and we do not hand out browser sessions.

Each Browserless fact below comes from its pricing page or documentation, checked on 2026-10-11. We have not compared output quality or speed, so this page does not say which service renders better.

Browserless pricing in short

Browserless pricing is built on units. A unit is a block of browser time of up to 30 seconds per browser connection, and a longer session uses one more unit for every 30 seconds. The pricing page lists a free plan with 1k units a month and paid plans that grow in units, concurrent browsers and session length. Its prices are shown for annual billing.

The pricing page and the PDF documentation page do not say how many units one /pdf call uses. Without that number a price per PDF cannot be worked out from Browserless's own pages, so we do not publish one. Ask Browserless, or test with your own jobs and read the usage it reports.

We sell credits instead. A simple render costs 1 credit, and larger outputs cost more credits. Credit costs are provisional until launch, so check the current values on our pricing page before you plan a budget.

Browserless vs AIIPWorld: PDF options

Browserless's /pdf call accepts either a url or an html field. Its documented options include page format, margins, orientation, background printing, header and footer templates with page number classes, page ranges and tagged PDFs. It can also add script or style tags before rendering.

Our PDF jobs accept html or a public http or https address. You can set the page format or size, margins, landscape orientation, background printing, scale, page ranges and print or screen styles. Header and footer HTML is supported, and page numbers use the classes pageNumber and totalPages. We do not list an option to add script or style tags.

Waiting is handled with wait_until, wait_for_selector and delay_ms. JavaScript runs by default. Each job runs in a fresh browser context, so cookies and cache are not shared between jobs, and you can send custom headers and a user agent.

How to test a Browserless alternative with your own jobs

A sample page will not show you much. Run your own pages through each service and check the points below.

  • Fonts: confirm that every font your pages use is on the render server or loads from a public URL. Our render server has the Noto fonts, including CJK and emoji, and Liberation 2.
  • Waiting: check that the page is ready when rendering starts. If it is not, use wait_until, wait_for_selector or delay_ms.
  • Headers and footers: check that the margin is large enough for the header and footer you use.
  • Login and cookies: we have no cookie option, so a page that needs a login will show its login screen. Check how your pages behave.
  • Errors: note how a failed job reports the problem. Our error classes are invalid_input, ssrf_blocked, navigation_failed, output_limit, memory_limit and timeout.
  • Cost: render a typical job on each side, then compare the units or credits used with the plan price you would pay.
  • Time: time your own jobs from request to file, and compare the results between the two services.

Moving from Browserless to AIIPWorld

Authentication uses an API key from the dashboard. Send it as Authorization: Bearer followed by the key, or in an x-api-key header. Browserless takes a token in the query string, so this is the first change in your code.

Browserless's /pdf response is the PDF itself. Ours is asynchronous: POST /v1/render returns a job_id, you poll the job until it reaches succeeded, failed or timeout, and then download the file from a short-lived signed link. Credits for failed and timed-out jobs are returned.

Map your options to the names we use: format, margin, print_background, display_header_footer, header_template, footer_template, page_ranges and tagged. Send one request per document. There is no batch endpoint, and webhooks are not available yet.

When Browserless may suit you better

Browserless may suit you better if you need to drive a browser yourself. It lists up to 100 concurrent browsers and sessions up to 60 minutes on its Scale plan, plus BrowserQL and MCP. We run short jobs with a hard timeout and do not offer sessions.

It may also suit you if you want the file in the same HTTP response. Our jobs are asynchronous, so your code has to poll.

We may suit you better if all you need is a PDF or a screenshot from an HTTP request, with a free plan and free web tools. Choose by testing your own jobs and comparing the cost for your volume.

Questions

Is AIIPWorld a replacement for Browserless?

Only for part of what Browserless does. We make PDFs and PNG or JPEG screenshots from HTML or a public web address. We do not run Puppeteer or Playwright scripts, offer BrowserQL or hand out browser sessions.

Which one is cheaper?

The price lists use different units. Browserless sells units of browser time, and its pages do not say how many units one PDF call uses. We sell credits, where a simple render is 1 credit and long or large outputs cost more. Work out your own volume against both lists before deciding.

Is Browserless free, and is there a free alternative?

Our web tools are free and need no account. Anonymous use asks for a human check from Cloudflare Turnstile, and signed-in users skip it. Our free API plan includes 100 credits a month, and results are kept for 1 day. Browserless also lists a free plan, with 1k units a month.

Browserless vs Puppeteer: where does AIIPWorld fit?

Puppeteer is a library you run yourself, and Browserless hosts browsers for it. We sit one step further from the code: you send a request and get a PDF or image, and we run the browser. If you need to script clicks and forms, use Puppeteer, Playwright or Browserless.

Does AIIPWorld have a browserless API?

We have a render API, not a browser-session API. POST /v1/render takes html or a url and returns a job that ends in a PDF or an image. There is no WebSocket connection to a browser.

Do you support webhooks?

Not yet. Jobs are asynchronous: submit, then poll for the result. Webhooks are planned for Pro and Business.

How current is the Browserless information?

It was checked on 2026-10-11 against browserless.io/pricing, docs.browserless.io and docs.browserless.io/rest-apis/pdf. Prices and limits change, so confirm them on Browserless's own site before you decide.
