Address Label Maker

This free Address Label Maker turns the addresses you type into a printable PDF of labels, laid out on a grid that matches common sticky label sheets. You print the file on your own printer. It makes plain address labels only, so it is useful for mailings, return labels and boxes, not for shipping.

  • This tool makes address labels, not shipping labels. It adds no postage, barcode, tracking number or carrier mark.
  • The free web tool prints at most the first 10 sheets, and one PDF holds up to 500 labels.
  • Check the size printed on your label sheet against the grid you pick before you print.

Use this only for real address labels issued by you or by the business you act for. Creating documents in someone else's name, or to misrepresent a transaction or identity, is not allowed. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

Type or paste the addresses. Each block of lines becomes one label. Separate blocks with an empty line.

Do this from your code

The same request, built from the input and options above. Create an account to get an API key.

curl -X POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"html":"","output":"pdf","options":{}}'

# returns {"job_id": "...", "status": "queued"}; then poll:
curl https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs/JOB_ID -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY"

Batches

The web tool handles 1 document at a time. The API takes one request per document, so you can script as many as your plan allows.

More control

Headers and footers, page ranges, scale, custom page size, wait conditions and request headers are API options. See the docs.

Retention

Web-tool results are kept 10 minutes; free API results 1 day; Starter and Pro results 7 days; Business and Scale 30 days. The web tool allows 10 conversions per minute and 50 per day per visitor.

In one sentence

A free online form that lays out the addresses you type on a sheet of address labels (US Letter or A4 grids) and gives you a PDF to print on your own printer.

Key facts

  • Six sheet grids: US Letter 30, 20 and 10 labels per sheet and A4 21, 14 and 12 labels per sheet; one label per block of text, up to 500 labels in one PDF, 1 to 100 copies of each label, a skip option for a partly used sheet and an optional return address.
  • Text size 6 to 24 pt, left or center alignment, an optional bold first line and capital letters; the page warns about blocks that may be too long for a label.
  • Plain address labels only: no carrier logo or mark, barcode, tracking number or postage is added, and it is not a shipping label maker. Print one test sheet at 100% scale first.
  • The free web tool prints the first 10 sheets and keeps results for 10 minutes; the same HTML can be sent to the API with POST /v1/render.
  • Free without an account: up to 10 conversions per minute and 50 per day per visitor, no watermark. Signed in, each render costs 1 credit (100 free credits every month).
  • Files are deleted automatically: 10 minutes after conversion without an account, 1 day with a free account.
  • Developers can run the same render with POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render and an API key (see the PDF API page).

How it works

  1. Choose a label sheet grid that matches the sheet you own.
  2. Type or paste your addresses into the text box, leaving an empty line between each label.
  3. Add a return address if you want one, and set the text size and alignment.
  4. Create the PDF and check the label and sheet count shown on the page.
  5. Print one test sheet at 100% scale before you print the full run.

How to make address labels

Start by choosing the grid that matches your label sheet. Then type or paste your addresses into the text box. Each block of lines becomes one label, so separate blocks with an empty line. When you are done, create the PDF and download it. The form is turned into HTML in your browser, and the PDF is made on our server. The tool keeps no history, so keep your own copy of the file. To change any label, edit the form and create the PDF again.

Pick the label sheet

The Address Label Maker offers six grids, and each one works as an address label template. US Letter sheets come in 30, 20 and 10 labels per sheet. A4 sheets come in 21, 14 and 12 labels per sheet. The grid names describe the layout only, and we do not claim they match every manufacturer's sheet. Check the label size printed on your own sheet before you choose. The sizes are 2-5/8 x 1 in for the 30-label grid, 4 x 1 in for the 20-label grid, 4 x 2 in for the 10-label grid, 63.5 x 38.1 mm for the 21-label grid, 99.1 x 38.1 mm for the 14-label grid and 86.4 x 42.3 mm for the 12-label grid. If none match, your labels will not line up, so this tool is not the right one for that sheet.

Type or paste the addresses

Use the one large text box for all your addresses. Any number of lines is allowed for each label, such as a name, street and city, or a single line. Leave an empty line between blocks so each block prints as its own label. There is no import from a spreadsheet or contacts file. You type or paste the text yourself. Check spelling before you create the PDF, because the tool prints exactly what you enter.

Add a return address

You can add an optional return address. It prints small at the top of every label, above a thin line, followed by the address. Only the first block in the return address field is used. Use your own return address or one for an organization you act for. Do not use an address you have no right to use.

Copies and a partly used sheet

Choose how many copies of each label you need, from 1 to 100. If you have a partly used sheet, skip the first labels so printing starts at a later label. You can skip up to one label less than the sheet holds. Skipping labels is useful for reusing a sheet. Check the first printed page against your sheet before you run the full batch, so you do not waste labels.

Text size, alignment and long addresses

Set the text size from 6 to 24 pt. The default is 10 pt. You can align text left or center. "Bold first line" is on by default, and "Capital letters" turns Latin letters into capitals. The page warns you when some blocks may be too long for the label. This is a rough estimate, not an exact check. Text that does not fit is cut off at the edge of its label, so shorten long addresses or lower the text size.

Print one test sheet on plain paper before you use your label sheets. Set your print dialog to 100% scale, or "actual size," not "fit to page." Otherwise the labels will not line up. Hold the test page against a label sheet to check the position. You can turn on "Draw dashed label outlines" for a test print. Printers differ, so the alignment can be off by a small amount. The tool has no offset controls yet.

Address labels, not shipping labels

The Address Label Maker makes plain address labels only. It does not add a carrier logo or mark, a barcode, a tracking number or postage. It does not buy postage or check whether an address exists. Use it for mailing cards, letters, return address labels, party invitations, school or club mailings and boxes with a name and address. If you need shipping labels, use the service of the carrier you ship with.

Limits: labels and sheets

One PDF can hold up to 500 labels. Any labels beyond that are left out, and the page tells you so. The free web tool prints at most the first 10 sheets, and one sheet is one PDF page. The page shows the number of labels and sheets before you create the file. Plan your run within these limits, and create a new PDF for any extra labels.

Make address labels from code

You can make address labels with the same HTML to PDF API used by the other form tools. Your code builds the HTML and sends one request per document to POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render, with your API key in the Authorization header. Set output to "pdf" and add options such as format and margin. The request returns a job ID. Poll GET /v1/jobs/:id until the status is succeeded, failed or timeout, then download the file from download_url. The download link is short-lived. One request makes one PDF. Webhooks and a batch endpoint do not exist yet. The page shows a ready cURL, Node and Python example built from your form entries. See /docs/ for the general API.

Privacy: what happens to your addresses

Only the text you type is printed. The tool does not add a company name, logo, barcode, QR code or watermark. There is no history and there are no saved address lists. Results are deleted after 10 minutes in the free web tool, and download links are short-lived. Anonymous use needs a human check from Cloudflare Turnstile. Signed-in users skip the check and use credits, at 1 credit per PDF. Use only addresses and names you have the right to use.

Questions

Is the address label maker free?

Yes, the free web tool makes address labels without signup, though it prints at most the first 10 sheets and the form text must fit within 256 KB. Anonymous use needs a human check, and signed-in users use credits instead.

Which label sheets does it fit?

It offers six grids: US Letter with 30, 20 or 10 labels per sheet, and A4 with 21, 14 or 12 labels per sheet. Check your sheet's label size against the grid before you print.

How do I print only a few labels on a sheet?

Use the skip option to start printing at a later label, up to one label less than the sheet holds. Then print a test sheet first to confirm the position.

Can I add a return address?

Yes, you can add an optional return address that prints small at the top of every label, above a thin line. Only the first block of the return address field is used.

Can I make shipping labels with postage?

No. This address label generator makes plain address labels only. It adds no postage, barcode, tracking number or carrier mark, so use your carrier's own service for shipping labels.

Can I add a logo or a barcode?

No. The tool prints only the text you type and never adds a logo, barcode, QR code or picture. If you need your own design, use the HTML to PDF tool.

How many labels can I make at once?

One PDF can hold up to 500 labels, and any extra labels are left out with a note on the page. The free web tool prints at most the first 10 sheets.

Can I import addresses from a spreadsheet?

No, there is no import from a spreadsheet or contacts file yet. You type or paste your addresses into the text box instead.

Why do my labels not line up when I print?

The most common cause is print scaling. Set your print dialog to 100% or "actual size," not "fit to page," then print a test sheet and hold it against your label sheet. Printers differ, and there are no offset controls yet, so results vary.

Can I make address labels in my own code?

Yes, you can use the HTML to PDF API by sending one request per document with your API key. The page shows a ready cURL, Node and Python example, and you poll the job until it succeeds.

Need this in your app or in bulk?

This tool runs on the render API, so the same PDF is one HTTP request from your code. A free account includes 100 credits a month.
