Free Chart Maker for Seven Chart Types
This free chart maker turns numbers into seven kinds of charts: bar charts, histograms, box and whisker plots, scatter plots, dot plots, stem and leaf plots and radar charts. Paste your numbers or open a file, and the chart updates as you type. No sign-up is needed, and you download a PNG or SVG.
- Write numbers as plain digits. Use 1000, not 1,000, and leave out units and currency signs.
- This tool does not draw line charts or pie charts.
- The example data in the tool is made up for the example. Replace it with your own numbers before you use the chart.
One line per bar: a label, then one or more numbers, separated by commas or tabs. A first line with words names the series (for example: Month, 2025, 2026). You can paste cells from a spreadsheet.
You can also drop a file here.
Preview
1200 × 800 px. The preview is scaled to fit; downloads are full size.
The chart is drawn in your browser. Your data is not uploaded or stored.
Runs in your browser
Type or paste your numbers and the chart updates as you go. Nothing is sent to a server.
PNG or SVG
Download a PNG at 1× or 2× for slides and documents, or an SVG that stays sharp at any size.
Same chart from the API
Send the same settings to the API to get the chart as PNG, SVG or PDF from your own code.
Make this chart from your code
This request has the data and settings you see above. The API draws the chart on our servers with the same chart code and returns a PNG; set format to svg or pdf for those files. A chart costs 1 credit, plus 1 credit for each 5 MB of file after the first 5 MB.

A free online chart maker that draws bar charts, histograms, box and whisker plots, scatter plots, dot plots, stem and leaf plots and radar charts in your browser from pasted numbers or a CSV file, and downloads them as PNG or SVG.
Key facts
- Seven chart types: bar (grouped, stacked, horizontal), histogram, box and whisker plot, scatter plot (with a line of best fit), dot plot, stem and leaf plot and radar (spider) chart; no line, pie or Venn charts.
- Input: typed or pasted numbers, cells pasted from a spreadsheet (tab-separated), or a .csv, .tsv or .txt file up to 2 MB; the chart updates as you type.
- Output: PNG at 1x or 2x, or SVG; sizes 1200 x 800 by default, or 200 to 4000 px wide and 150 to 4000 px high; transparent background optional.
- Drawn in the browser with Apache ECharts 6.1.0 (Apache-2.0); the data is not uploaded or stored; no sign-up and no watermark.
- API: POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs with {"op": "chart_render", "params": <chart>} and an API key returns the same chart as PNG, SVG or PDF; result.stats has the numbers it was drawn from.
- Free in the browser: no sign-up, no limit on the number of charts, no watermark. The API (POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs, op chart_render, PNG, SVG or PDF) costs 1 credit per chart.
How it works
- Pick a chart type from the chart type menu on this page. Each chart type has its own input rules.
- Type or paste your numbers into the text box, or open a .csv, .tsv or .txt file. Files over 2 MB are not opened.
- Check the preview. If a value cannot be read, the tool names the value or line that is wrong.
- Set the title, axis labels, colour, size, text size and background.
- Download a PNG or SVG.

How to use the Chart Maker
Start by choosing a chart type from the menu, or open the page for the type you want. The chart is drawn as you enter data, so you can check the result before you download anything. Use this chart creator when you want a chart without opening a spreadsheet. Copy your cells, paste them into the text box, and read the preview. When the chart shows what you need, choose PNG or SVG and save the file to your device.
Chart types in this Chart Maker
This tool draws seven chart types. Each one reads its input in a different way, so read the notes on its page before you paste data. A bar chart is also called a bar graph, and a column chart is a bar chart with vertical bars. A radar chart is also called a spider chart, web chart or star chart. Line charts and pie charts are not offered here.
- Bar chart: one label and one or more numbers per line, up to 200 bars and 10 series.
- Histogram: a list of up to 10,000 numbers, grouped into bins you can set.
- Box and whisker plot: one box from plain numbers, or up to 20 groups, with up to 10,000 numbers in all.
- Scatter plot: x and y values per line, up to 5,000 points in all.
- Dot plot: a list of up to 1,000 numbers, with one dot for each value.
- Stem and leaf plot: a list of up to 1,000 numbers, sorted by the tool.
- Radar chart: 3 to 20 measures, with up to 10 items to compare.
Pasting data from a spreadsheet or a CSV file
You can paste cells copied from Excel or Google Sheets into the text box. They arrive as tab-separated text, and the tool reads them as rows and columns. You can also open a .csv, .tsv or .txt file instead. Commas, spaces, tabs, semicolons and new lines all separate numbers in a list.
Some chart types read a heading line differently. For a bar chart, a first line with words names the series, such as Month, 2025, 2026. For a scatter plot, a first line with words is skipped, so column headings do not become points. If you use a file, check that each line matches the chart type you chose.
Titles, colours, size and text
Every chart has a title option. Charts with axes also have axis labels. Pick a main colour with the colour picker, and the other series use a fixed palette. Choose a preset size of 1200 x 800 (the default), 1600 x 900, 1080 x 1080 or 800 x 600. You can also enter a custom width from 200 to 4000 px and a height from 150 to 4000 px.
Text size can be 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 or 24 px. You can also make the background transparent for PNG and SVG files. Use these settings to match your chart to a slide or page before you download it.
PNG or SVG: which download to pick
Choose PNG when you need a picture file for a document, a web page or a slide. PNG comes at 1x or 2x scale. The 2x option doubles the pixels, which keeps the chart sharp on a large screen.
Choose SVG when you want a vector file. SVG stays sharp at any size, and it opens in browsers and vector editors. PDF output is not part of the web tool. You can get PDF only through the API.
Which chart fits your data
Pick the chart type that matches the question you want to answer. Use one type for one kind of question, and check the chart before you share it.
- Bar chart: use it to compare values across categories or series.
- Histogram: use it to see how numbers spread across ranges of equal width.
- Box and whisker plot: use it to compare the middle and spread of groups and to spot outliers.
- Scatter plot: use it to see how two sets of numbers relate, with an optional line of best fit.
- Dot plot: use it to see each value and how often it appears in a list of up to 1,000 numbers.
- Stem and leaf plot: use it to see the shape of a data set while keeping the digits you need.
- Radar chart: use it to compare several items across several measures on one shared scale.
Your data stays in your browser
The chart is drawn in your browser with Apache ECharts, an open-source chart library under the Apache-2.0 licence. Your data is not uploaded or stored. Nothing is sent to a server to make the chart. There is no sign-up, no account and no watermark.
This matters when your numbers are private or unpublished. You can check the preview as often as you like without sending the values anywhere. If you close the page, the data goes with it.
Charts from your own code
The API renders the same charts as the web tool. Send a POST request to https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs with the JSON fields op set to chart_render and params holding your chart settings and data. Send your API key in the Authorization header as a Bearer token or in the x-api-key header.
The job runs in a queue. Check its status and download link with GET /v1/jobs/:id. You can choose png, svg or pdf for the output, and PNG can be rendered at 2x with pixel_ratio 2. The same settings give the same chart, in the web tool and in the API. Each chart costs 1 credit, plus 1 credit for each 5 MB of file after the first 5 MB. Failed jobs are refunded. The result also includes result.stats, which holds the numbers the chart was drawn from. The page shows a ready cURL, Node and Python example built from your settings.
Limits
The web tool opens files up to 2 MB. The chart limits depend on the type. A histogram or box and whisker plot takes up to 10,000 numbers, a scatter plot takes up to 5,000 points, and a dot plot or stem and leaf plot takes up to 1,000 numbers. Width and height must fall within the sizes listed above.
The API allows up to 20,000 numbers in one chart and up to 10 series. Labels can be up to 100 characters, and titles up to 200. PNG output can be at most 16,000,000 pixels. The API refuses unknown settings with a 400 invalid_params error.
If your numbers already sit in a spreadsheet, the spreadsheet chart may be all you need. This tool does not edit or save your spreadsheet.
