Website screenshot tool
Enter a public web address and get an image of how it looks at the screen size you pick. The page is loaded in headless Chromium and captured as a PNG or JPEG.
- The phone and tablet presets change the window size only. They do not change the browser's user agent, so sites that decide by user agent still show the desktop version.
Result
Your image will appear here.
The free web tool captures at most 2000px of height. For taller captures, use the API.
Retention: web-tool results are deleted after 10 minutes and no history is kept. API results are kept 1 day on the free plan and 7 days on Starter and Pro (30 days on Business).
Do this from your code
The same request, built from the input and options above. Create an account to get an API key.
curl -X POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"html":"","output":"pdf","options":{}}'
# returns {"job_id": "...", "status": "queued"}; then poll:
curl https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs/JOB_ID -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY"Batches
The web tool handles 1 web page at a time. The API takes one request per URL, so you can script as many as your plan allows.
More control
Whole-page capture (full_page), clipping to a region, request headers and a custom user agent are API options. See the docs.
Retention
Web-tool results are kept 10 minutes; free API results 1 day; Starter and Pro results 7 days; Business 30 days. The web tool allows 10 conversions per minute and 50 per day per visitor.
How it works
- Paste the full address of the page.
- Choose a screen size. Desktop, laptop, tablet and phone presets set the width and height of the browser window.
- Pick PNG or JPEG, and 2x pixel density if you want a sharper image.
- Complete the human check, press Take screenshot, then download the image.

Questions
What screen sizes can I capture?
Four presets: desktop (1280 x 800), laptop (1440 x 900), tablet (768 x 1024) and phone (390 x 844). The API accepts any width and height from 100 to 4000 px.
Does the phone preset show the mobile version of a site?
It makes the browser window phone-sized, so responsive sites switch to their narrow layout. It does not change the user agent or turn on touch emulation, so a site that serves a separate mobile site by user agent will not switch.
Does it capture the whole page or only the top?
Only the area of the window you picked, from the top of the page. For taller captures see the full page screenshot tool, which explains what the free tool and the API can do.
PNG or JPEG?
PNG is lossless and the default. JPEG files are usually smaller for photographic pages. Pixel density 2x doubles the width and height of the image in pixels.
Can I take a screenshot in dark mode?
Choose the dark colour scheme. That sets the browser's preferred colour scheme to dark, so a site that supports dark mode will use it. Sites that do not support it look the same.
Does the screenshot have a watermark?
We do not add one. The image shows only what the page rendered.
Why is part of the page blank or showing an error?
Pages that load content slowly can be captured before it appears, so try an extra wait. Some sites block automated visitors, and then the image shows whatever the site returned. Local and private addresses are blocked on purpose.
How long is the image kept?
Web-tool results are deleted after 10 minutes. Download it before then; no history is kept.
