AIIPWorld as a Firecrawl alternative

A short, factual comparison for people who use Firecrawl to turn web pages into Markdown. We render one public address at a time, to HTML, PDF or an image. We do not crawl websites or search the web. Everything we say about Firecrawl comes from its own public pages, with the address and the date we checked next to each fact.

AIIPWorld: what we offer

From our own price list and configuration. See pricing for the current version.

  • Free plan: 100 credits per month, no card needed. A simple render costs 1 credit. The free web tools also work without an account.
  • Paid plans (monthly price / credits per month): $19 / 2,750, $59 / 10,000, $149 / 30,000. Yearly billing is 10 times the monthly price. A credit pack is $10 for 1,400 credits that do not expire.
  • A screenshot costs 1 credit; a full page screenshot costs 2 credits for an image up to 5,000 px tall, plus more for taller ones. PDFs over 10 pages and results over 5 MB cost extra credits. Credits for failed jobs are returned. These costs are provisional until launch.
  • API: PDF from HTML or a public web address, and PNG or JPEG screenshots, all with headless Chromium. Jobs are asynchronous (submit, then poll). Results are kept for a limited time and then deleted. Webhooks, templates and a batch endpoint are not available yet.

Price per credit at each listed plan

Plain division: the monthly price divided by the credits (Firecrawl) or credits (AIIPWorld) included, with a simple render counted as 1 credit. Firecrawl figures use the plans listed above (2026-10-11, firecrawl.dev/pricing). The units are not the same thing, larger AIIPWorld outputs use more credits, and our credit costs are provisional until launch, so treat this as arithmetic, not a verdict.

Firecrawl planPrice per credit
Hobby (billed yearly): $16 for 5,000$0.003
Standard (billed yearly): $83 for 100,000$0.001
Growth (billed yearly): $333 for 500,000$0.001
Scale (billed yearly): $599 for 1,000,000$0.001
AIIPWorld planPrice per simple render
Starter: $19 for 2,750$0.007
Pro: $59 for 10,000$0.006
Business: $149 for 30,000$0.005

Reading the two lists side by side

  • The units differ. A Firecrawl credit is one page on a basic scrape; our credit is one simple render, and larger outputs use more. Our credit costs are provisional until launch.
  • Firecrawl lists crawling, URL discovery, search and structured JSON. We render one address at a time and return HTML, a PDF or an image.
  • Both have a free allowance: 1,000 credits a month on Firecrawl, 100 on ours. The free web tools need no account.
  • We did not check whether Firecrawl can return PDFs or screenshots. We have not compared speed or output quality either. Run a few of your own pages through both.

You can try ours without an account in the HTML to PDF tool or the website screenshot tool. The PDF API and screenshot API pages list every option.

Firecrawl is a name of its respective owner. AIIPWorld is not affiliated with it.

Where AIIPWorld overlaps with Firecrawl, and where it does not

If you are looking for an alternative to Firecrawl for single pages, start with what each service does. Firecrawl describes itself in its documentation as a way to search, scrape, interact with, map and crawl the web. Its scrape feature extracts content from a URL as Markdown, HTML or structured JSON. Crawl gathers content from entire sites, and map discovers the URLs of a website.

We do one thing in that list: we render a single public web page. Our API opens the address in headless Chromium, runs its JavaScript and returns the rendered HTML, or a PDF, or a PNG or JPEG image. We do not crawl, map or search, and we do not return structured JSON or run an AI model on the page.

That makes us a fit for a narrow job: getting one page, or a few known pages, as Markdown, PDF or an image. It does not make us a replacement for a data pipeline that needs to find and read many pages. Each Firecrawl fact on this page was checked on 2026-10-11.

URL to Markdown with AIIPWorld

The free URL to Markdown tool on this site converts one page: it renders the page on our server and your browser turns the HTML into Markdown. For your own code, send the address to the API with output set to html:

curl -X POST https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/render \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url":"https://aiipworld.com/","output":"html","options":{"wait_until":"networkidle"}}'

# returns {"job_id": "...", "status": "queued"}; then poll:
curl https://api.aiipworld.com/v1/jobs/JOB_ID -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIIPWORLD_API_KEY"

The API returns the rendered HTML as a file, not Markdown. You convert it in your code, for example with turndown, as the URL to Markdown page shows with a Node.js script. This is one more step than a service that returns Markdown directly.

Firecrawl pricing in short

Firecrawl's pricing page lists a free plan with 1,000 credits a month and paid plans from $16 a month billed yearly. A credit is one page on a basic scrape, crawl or map, and search costs 2 credits per 10 results. Some output formats add credits per page. The table above has the plans and their limits.

We sell credits too. A simple render costs 1 credit, and larger outputs cost more. Credit costs are provisional until launch, so check the pricing page before you plan a budget. The two credits are not the same thing, so treat the per-credit table as arithmetic and not as a verdict.

When Firecrawl may suit you better

Firecrawl may suit you better if you need to crawl whole sites, discover the URLs of a website, search the web, extract structured JSON, or feed pages to an LLM pipeline. Its documentation lists those features, and its higher plans list up to 100 concurrent browsers. Its docs also mention self-hosting, which we do not offer.

It may also suit you if you want Markdown returned by the service itself, without converting HTML in your own code.

When AIIPWorld may suit you better

We may suit you better if you have a small number of known addresses and want the page as HTML for your own converter, or as a PDF or a screenshot, from one account and one API key. Our free web tools need no account, and the free API plan includes 100 credits a month.

We have not compared how the two services handle blocked pages, speed or the Markdown they produce. Test your own pages on both.

How to test a Firecrawl alternative with your own pages

Run your own addresses through each service and check the points below.

  • Content: compare the Markdown for a page with a lot of script-built text.
  • Blocked pages: some sites refuse automated requests. We do not bypass blocks, and a refused page gives its error page.
  • Login: we send no cookies, so a page behind a login shows the login screen.
  • Size: the rendered HTML can be up to 2 MB.
  • Cost: add up the credits for your typical number of pages on each side.

Questions

Is AIIPWorld a Firecrawl alternative?

Only for one part of what Firecrawl does. We render one public web page at a time and give you its HTML, a PDF or an image. We do not crawl websites, map URLs, search the web or extract structured data.

Is there a free Firecrawl alternative?

Our web tools are free and need no account. The URL to Markdown tool converts one page at a time. Our free API plan includes 100 credits a month. Firecrawl also lists a free plan, with 1,000 credits a month.

Can I crawl a whole website with AIIPWorld?

No. Each request renders one address, and there is no crawl or batch endpoint. You can send one request for each address on a list that you already have.

Does your API return Markdown?

No. It returns the rendered HTML, and you convert it to Markdown in your code. The URL to Markdown tool does that conversion for you in the browser, for one page at a time.

Can I use it to feed pages to an LLM?

You can use the Markdown you produce from the HTML in any way you like. We do not run a model on it, extract structured data or offer a search step.

How current is the Firecrawl information?

It was checked on 2026-10-11 against firecrawl.dev/pricing and docs.firecrawl.dev/introduction. Plans and features change, so confirm them on Firecrawl's own site before you decide.
